Australian music legends Darryl Cotton, Jim Keays and Russell Morris have released their debut DVD from one of their most intimate and memorable performances. Recorded in October 2003 and featuring a sample from the success of these three artists, Cotton Keays & Morris Live at the Basement showcases the indelible style and talent of these Australian icons.
With over five years of combining their skills, on the road and in television and radio programs like Long Way to the Top, Cotton Keays and Morris have produced a definitive live performance on DVD featuring the highlights of their respective music careers. As one of the founding members of Zoot, Darryl Cotton joins Masters Apprentices lead singer Jim Keays and legendary solo artist Russell Morris for a night of Australian music 101! Their debut DVD features some of the most iconic Australian songs, performed for webcast and recorded both for television and DVD in the intimacy and warmth of the Basement nightclub.
With tracks including (It’s all over now) Baby Blue, Sweet Sweet Love, The Real Thing and Turn Up Your Radio, the Live at the Basement DVD features over 20 tracks of music as well as an interview with the band and footage of TV appearances and radio interviews. Included on the DVD is a band interview as well as a studio interview with Basement.com host Doug Mulray, and acoustic versions of several of the favourites like Because I Love You and Sweet Sweet Love.
With over 40 combined chart hits, covering the 60’s, and 70’s, over numerous genres of music including progressive rock, garage punk and power pop, this trio have confirmed their status as Australian music legends with the release of this DVD.
